Grey: A New Neutral Choice!
The colour (or non colour) has been taking over as the most popular neutral and that’s because, not only is it stunning, it is also very adaptable. Grey is a middle colour between black and white meaning- it is a neutral or achromatic color, meaning literally that it is a color “without color.” Adding different colour to grey will give it various affects. Example adding yellow to a basic grey will turn it into a warm grey almost a taupe and if you add blue then you will get a very cool crisp grey. Comparing the different undertones in greys will help you decide whether you want a cool calming, deep bold, warm cosy or industrial room. All of these things are achievable with the basic colour grey.
No matter what grey you end up using always remember that you can add a pop of colour to spice up your decor, an injection of vibrant yellow can really brighten up a predominantly grey room. Adding a dark royal purple to a grey room will add sophistication and elegance. Grey is a versatile neutral that is really taking off and can be used in so many different applications.
Tile is a great option for adding this stunning neutral into your home. Consider the many choices marble tile has to offer in this colour palette and how versatile it can be. You can put our natural marble tile on floors, walls, shower, you name it! Choose a warm oyster grey like our Wooden White for a soft welcoming look, or our striking blue grey Bianco Cobalt for that bold classic appeal.
